Suppose you pay a little attention to people's everyday life. In that case, you will conclude that most of them use various social networks such as Facebook, Twitter,  LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc., during the day, and they are connected with their friends through these spaces.

It is important to note that hackers have noticed the points that we mentioned before, and that is why they are trying to gain access to different people's social networks through various ways.

As it is clear, the reason for these hackers' interest in social networks (in Czech:  sociální sítě  ) is the large amount of time that users spend in these environments, and users prefer to store or exchange important information through these ways. As a result, hackers can easily access their information and abuse it to achieve their desires.

For example, your account on one of these social networks, such as Facebook, is very useful for hackers because they can gain a lot of information through it if they gain access to your account. For example, they can access your personal information, Address, details of all your close friends and family, and so on, then use it to achieve their desires.

Suppose you want to  increase the security of social networks  in which you have an account. In that case, it is necessary to pay attention to the fact that hackers use different methods to obtain the information they want so that if you are familiar with these threats, you can take a big step towards increasing the security of your social media network.

One of  the ways that hackers use a lot to hack other people's information is Phishing, in which the hacker tries to create a web page that is similar to yours and thereby deceives your users on the social network, in fact, through this way, the hackers can easily gain access to the information they need to log in to users' accounts and perform malicious actions.

One of the most common methods among hackers is social engineering. Hackers can gain the trust of users. Then users will provide hackers with the information that they need easily. As a result, users' trust is abused in this way.

As you know,  attackers can gain access to your account and your essential information  so that it can be so dangerous for you.

We are sure that your account security is important to you, so we suggest that you should never write down the passwords of your accounts, as well as any other information needed to log in to them somewhere on the computer, and do not log in to them through computers which are located in public location since it is not secure.

So far, we have mentioned several ways that hackers use to gain access to various user accounts. Besides these, there are other ways that all of them can eventually lead these profiteers to their sinister goals.

Ways to increase the security of social networks:

There are many ways and points that you can get help from to prevent the theft of your information, some of which are mentioned in the following.

- Use strong passwords:

One of the most basic ways to increase security worldwide is to choose strong passwords for different accounts.

If you do a little research on the Internet, you can find out that you should never use your name, date of birth as your password. The password you choose must have at least eight characters. It should be a combination of different letters, numbers, and symbols so that if a person wants to discover it, it would be necessary to spend a lot of time to do so.

You also need to be careful not to use the same password for multiple accounts, as this will reduce the security of your account.

Another thing we have to tell you is that after a while, you have to try to change your passwords so that if hackers have access to your previous one, they cannot gain access to your information anymore.

- Pay attention to spam emails:

As you know, one of the ways to get access to different user accounts is by sending spam emails, which you should pay attention to as much as possible.

The question that may arise in your mind is distinguishing these emails from others. We must tell you that you have to pay attention to some cases such as spelling, grammar, etc... Also, usually, such emails have topics that arouse the user's emotions and encourage the user to click on the link sent. Finally, when you click on the link, your account will be hacked. If you receive such emails, you have to delete them immediately.

- Updating:

One of the basic ways to increase security is to pay attention to the regularly updated versions.

Social media developers  give great importance to users' trust in their social network (in Slovak:  sociálna sieť  ); therefore, they try to fix the bugs in the previous version so that hackers cannot easily log in to your account.

- Lack of trust:

Among the various ways to hack, we have mentioned a case called social engineering. This is very important, and you need to have enough control over it to stop any action that is going to be taken in this direction.

- Use of available tools:

Various tools can help you check whether your mobile device, computer, etc., is safe or not; then, if you notice that there are infections in your device that can reduce the security of your accounts on various social networks, such as Facebook,  YouTube,  Instagram, etc. You should eliminate the existing infections as soon as possible and prevent hackers from accessing your personal information.

- Respect for the privacy of others:

If you do not want your privacy to be compromised, you need to respect the privacy of others.

Privacy simply means setting boundaries for different people to access your personal information.

Privacy gives you the right to determine who and to what extent you let them have access to your information.

Different individuals and organizations may set rules to comply with if they intend to establish contact with others, and if they fail to comply with them, they have to pay heavy fines.

Different countries have privacy laws, and you need to respect all of them if you are in contact with users in those countries.
