How to install and set up comments in WordPress and how to install themes

Website design (in Slovak:  Webový design  ) has a lot of enthusiasts these days because it is possible to use different available features and various tools to achieve their goals. As we have mentioned, lots of users prefer to use it from other good choices these days, now you may ask for the reason of its popularity, one of the reasons is the ease of working with this system, as well as the many features that it provides for its users, among which we can mention that it  gives website visitors the opportunity of expressing their opinions as well as  the possibility of installing themes, which we are going to discuss in more detail below.

WordPress is, in fact, an open-source content system that is available for free, and various users can take advantage of it, and it can be used to launch a personal and even commercial website. As a result, you can customize the way to receive comments or display them so that you can choose all of these options according to your purpose and your desire.

Navigate to the Posts / Pages screen. In the list of pages or posts, you have to find the one you want and hover your cursor over the title of the post, and then you will see several links appear underneath the title, now click on "Quick Edit" and check "Allow Comments," and click on "Update" to turn comments on for that post.

It should be noted that you, as a  WordPress administrator, will be able to see all the comments in the comments dashboard in the WordPress admin area. In simple language, it displays all the comments by default. It is also possible for you to divide comments into different categories such as Pending, Approved, Spam, and Trash, which we will define in the following section.

- Spam:

The comments you put in this category won't be relevant to your site users.

- Approved:

Comments that fall into this category will be relevant to all users who visit your site and can view them.

- Pending:

As the name of this category indicates, this category of comments will only be visible in your posts if you approve of them.

- Trash:

Comments that fall into this category will be deleted automatically after 30 days.

As a result, you can put different comments in your favorite category and respond to them. In addition, you can use the Quick Edit option and edit any item you want concerning the comment.

Be careful not to put comments in the wrong categories, and if you do so, it is possible to correct your mistake and put them in the right category.

It should also be noted that you can limit commenting by activating the ability to comment on a particular post or page because you may not want users to be able to comment on all pages of your site or all of your posts so that users can only submit their comments in these sections.

If you plan to do so, all you have to do is go to the post where you want users to discuss and submit their comments, find the "Discussion" box and check the "Allow Comments" part. In the end, you need to save your changes by clicking on "Publish" or "Save Draft" in addition, there are other ways you can allow users to discuss on a single page or post, but the most common one has been mentioned here.

How to install and set up a WordPress Theme:

One of the things that can add to the attractiveness of the site and the pages on it is the use of different themes; depending on the source from which you want to download your desired one, there are  different ways to install WordPress template.

One of the resources from which you can download your desired theme is "The WordPress.org theme directory," There are free ones that you can download any type of them if you want.

Other resources which are available for downloading them include third-party sources, it is possible for you to download any of the different ones you want and use them to gain more visitors to your site (in Czech:  získat více návštěvníků vašich stránek  ).

To download them through the  WordPress site, you need to get started and log in to your WordPress dashboard, and then you have to select the "Appearance" option from the sidebar and then choose "Themes," after that, you have to click on the "Add New" button.

In the search field, you need to search for the name of the theme you want and then press the "Install" button to start installing the theme you want; after the installation process is complete, you need to click on the activation button to finish the progress.

If you want to download various types of them from sources apart from WordPress, you'll need to install them by manually uploading a .zip file to the theme installer. If you do not already have a .zip file for your theme handy, you have to ask the developer to help you find the .zip file.

To install them in this way, you need to first select the "Appearance" option and then choose "Themes," and finally click on the "Add New" button. You should click on the "Upload Theme" button, use the "Choose File" button to select the .zip file of your theme, then click on "Install Now," and as when you want to  download the theme from WordPress, you also need to click "Activate" to activate the theme.

So far, we have shown you the different ways to install and activate the ones available for this system, and now if you want to use more features, you can install different plugins to use more features.

Simply put, depending on the theme you are installing, you will need to install various plugins so that they can work properly. If you need to install a plugin, you will see a message titled "This theme suggests that you install different plugins."

Finally, you can easily install the required or recommended plugins and use them to achieve your desired goal, and you can attract lots of users.

How to update your WordPress Theme:

After installing the themes you want, you have to try to update them. Whenever the one you have installed has an update, WordPress will notify you by showing a red number next to the "Updates" option in the sidebar of your dashboard.

Clicking on that "Updates link" will take you to an interface where you can automatically update your WordPress theme. Only check the box next to the theme and click on "Update Themes."
